Jakob writes songs. The kind of autobiographical songs that have been compared to "diary entries" — the kind with a pink fun-fur cover and a lock on the side. Also "Lonely music for lonely people by a lonely person." The kind of songs that make his mom and his ex's uncomfortable. Jakob records these songs under the name Urbane Decay. Jakob is also known, psychedelically, as Heavy Moon / Moonwood.
