Biography
Thomas Tidholm is a Swedish poet, author, playwright, musician, and translator, born in 1943. While widely known for his literary work — including poetry, plays, and acclaimed children’s books co-written with his wife Anna-Clara Tidholm — he also played an important role in Sweden’s underground music scene in the 1970s.
During that decade, Tidholm was a member of the influential psychedelic/progressive band Pärson Sound, which later evolved into International Harvester and Träd, Gräs och Stenar — key groups in Sweden’s experimental rock movement. His contributions combined spoken word, political consciousness, and avant-garde soundscapes, reflecting the radical spirit of the era.

In 1985, he released his solo album Obevakade ögonblick ("Unguarded Moments"), an introspective and poetic collection blending folk, minimalism, and surreal lyricism. The album, long a cult classic, marked his return to music after years devoted mainly to writing. Throughout his career, Tidholm’s work — both literary and musical — has been driven by a deep sense of wonder, irony, and resistance to convention.
