Biography

Born in 1968, Atlanta native Tommy Jones is a musician of many talents. Coming of age in the 1980s, Tommy played keyboards and guitar in Nightreign, Innosense, and the moderately successful "hair metal" band: Show n Tell. Tommy is self-taught, plays multiple instruments, and records in his home-based digital recording studio in Midtown Atlanta, Georgia. Rock and roll is Tommys first love, but he is also very proficient at jazz, r and b, techno, electronica, and more.

"One of the hardest questions for me to answer, as a musician, is what kind of music do you play?", says Tommy, when asked about his influences, "Its very hard for me to pinpoint the type, style, genre, or whatever of my own music. Its just hard to be objective. I learned quitar along with AC/DC and Van Halen albums, but I also got into a lot of Motown, Disco and Funk as a kid." Tommys style is similar to Tom Petty or Huey Lewis, but with a harder edge and an almost Elvis Costello element to his voice. Read more on Last.fm.
