Biography
Based in Tréguier, France, the electronic duo – consisting of Gaëtan Bizien and Tioma Tchoulanov—established the label Okvlt as a platform for their multidisciplinary work. The label serves as a vehicle for their specific aesthetic, which merges digital arts with diverse electronic genres ranging from IDM and noise to techno. The project takes its name from the high-frequency radio station UVB-76 (often referred to as "The Buzzer"), a station known for its continuous transmission of a repetitive buzzing tone interspersed with occasional voice messages in Russian.
The project’s output is characterized by the integration of telecommunications aesthetics, signal processing, and minimalist sound design.
