Biography
Unholy Redeemer is an international death metal band formed in 2023 by musicians from Australia, Denmark and Finland. The lineup features Jens Bendtsen Pedersen on vocals, Steven Hull on guitars, Tommi Grönqvist on bass and Jarro Raphael on drums, with members associated with acts including Desecresy, Undergang, Nocturnal Graves and Deströyer 666.
Drawing heavily from the dark and destructive traditions of late-'80s and early-'90s death metal, Unholy Redeemer deliver a sinister blend of down-tuned riffs, cavernous vocals, crushing percussion and an atmosphere steeped in darkness and blasphemy. Their sound takes influence from seminal acts such as Morbid Angel, Sadistic Intent and Incantation, while incorporating the grim, churning character of early European death metal.

The band's three-track debut demo, A Fever to Dethrone All Kings, was released in 2023 and subsequently issued on CD and cassette in 2024. The material consisted of compositions originally written in the late 1990s and early 2000s before being resurrected and recorded by the band.
In August 2026, Unholy Redeemer released their debut EP, Journey Beyond Death, through Extremely Rotten Productions and Dark Descent Records. Its five tracks continue the band's dedication to dark, mournful and profane old-school death metal, delivering a deliberately traditional and uncompromising vision of the genre.
