Unkle Nancy and the Family Jewels perform high energy pirate folk rock with blues, country, and gypsy influences.
Unkle Nancy's gritty vocals draw immediate comparisons: Jason Webley and Tom Waits. While the band's cello, upright bass, washboard, and glossy backup vox truly create a sound all its own.
Their album, Gypsy Pirate Blues, includes drunken sing-a-longs, old ragtime style tunes, murder stories, and love songs... The band members include Nancy, Bunny, Ethan Zirin-Brown, Yoko Silk, Anthony, McCarthy, Ernie Brown, and Joseph Danna." - Unkle Nancy and the Family Jewels' Facebook page.
