Biography
the idea for Vervamon started in 1999, I called myself Count Akhkharu at that time, a name that means "vampire" in the sumirian language. Inspired by Mortiis and his other projects, I started to make darkambient music. I created the first Vervamon songs around that time. All of them were lost due to computercrashes. Halfway 2000 I started to create new songs. I changed my name to Markam, becouse there is already an artist called Akhkhaku. In 2001 I made a single tape just to let my husic hear to friends and family. In 2002 I released the tape "Old". The tape contains two songs from 1999, that could luckily be recovered (they are also on the 2001 tape), and a new outro, partly written in 1999. A few months later the selftiteled cdemo was released. In the mean time, I started another project called Procyon-X, space darkambient in vein of Neptune Towers and U.M.O.S. The song "Radio:Contact" was found on the internet by the Brittish label "Rage of Achilles", who wanted to put the song on their sampler "Conquest for the Empire". In 2002 this sampler was released. I made some other songs and RoA showed intrest in releasing a full Procyon-X release. Maybe the full release is something for the future, but for now there is a demo called "The Ghost of Orion". After creating the Vervamon song "Dwalende Gedachten" a new project popped up. The Dreaming had to be cold and very, very dark. "Poem for the Dead" was released when 2003 came to it"s last months. A lot of projects/sounds dwell through my head, so expect something new and completely different next year. I"ve already started a blackmetal project called "Norinian" together with Heer Koud. One song is already recorded and more will follow. There are also ideas for releasing a split EP with Vervamon and the dutch blackmetal band Orodruin
