Biography
Waiting For June is a UK-based cinematic alt-rock band created and fronted by Southern California songwriter, cartoonist and filmmaker Chris Bauer.
Built around emotional songwriting, powerful guitars and a strong visual identity, the band exists across two connected worlds: the live-action reality of the music and the Imbroglio District, a shadowed animated city of neon bars, rusted alleys, strange characters and stories unfolding alongside the songs.

Following early London performances at The 100 Club, The Troubadour and The Scala for Noel Gallagher’s aftershow, Waiting For June began expanding beyond the boundaries of a traditional rock band.
The Transmission Series, launched in 2025, introduced a continuing collection of short films connecting music, animation and live-action filmmaking. Rather than treating the visual side as decoration, Waiting For June is developing it as an ongoing cinematic world — with ambitions extending from music videos and animated shorts into larger-scale film projects, screenings and festival spaces.
A new run of singles begins in early 2027, alongside preparations for a new full-band live show. Much of the next chapter is already taking shape behind the scenes, with new music, films and visual pieces set to be released steadily throughout 2027.
Waiting For June is part band, part film project, part alternate reality — one expanding universe built around songs, characters and stories, with much more still to come.
