Biography
Born in 1972 and raised in Egham,SURREY on Manor Farm until 1979 Watson had a pretty blissful early childhood spending many a sunny day wandering the local area meeting up with friends. They would often have mass adventure days racing through fields playing proper hide and seek where to teams would assign a home point and then each team took the count of 100. 1Point was scored for a HOMER. This would while away a few hours then to the park and the rolling fields of Manorcroft. Leaving time to explore the abandoned Boys School. Then after dinner a swing was built by Watsons Father in a barn that was at one end of Manor Farm I say a swing infact it was sevaral swings plus for safety 30 odd bails of hay....them days them dayz... From 79' onwards life changed after a move to Chertsey,SURREY. Due to several parental break ups and reconciliations over 4 years he lost a lot of his early confidence which he puts down to not knowing where he would be living or which school he would be going to. When life got to much for his mother she would go to her parents Yeovil,SOMERSET taking Watson and his two younger sisters May and Ellen along with her which was often followed six months down the line by Frederick (his Father) arriving and making amends with Valerie (his mother) and a return journey to Chertsey. This happened 4 times over 3 years. Finally his parents divorced and back in Chertsey stability seemed possible.... Valerie met a Soldier(Lawrence) married him and the family moved to Dedworth Army housing estate and Watson was enrolled in Dedworth School his sixth school in 4 years. This marriage lasted 6 months until one sunny afternoon Watson was playing tennis with a local girl(Laura) who he was getting to know... when he noticed Valerie filling the car with suitcases. Valerie called him, he hit his tennis ball into a small wooded area and asked Laura to help find the ball whilst looking for the ball he explained what was happening. Laura grabbed him and they kissed said goodbye and they looked into each others eyes for as long as it was possible as the car drove away. Two hours later they arrived in Yeovil...7 months later Valerie had met someone (Karl) who Watson was told at a later date by his Grandmother had stated that he didn't want to deal with a teenage boys problems so again he was on the move firstly temporarily to his Grandmothers in Staines and Matthew Arnold School (his eighth school in little over 5 years) then to his fathers in Weybridge and School 9 in 6 years Abbeylands. At this point he was 14 years old. Watson had listened to a lot of music from the age of 9yrs his favourites included Adam and the Ants, Duran Duran, Nik Kershaw and Queen..by 14yrs he was listening to U2, Simple Minds, INXS, Billy Idol, The Beatles and Elvis. It was at the age of 22 that he discovered BUSH,their music really spoke to him and made a major impression on him,and he has been a fan ever since. Finally meeting Gavin Rossdale lead singer and writer for the band just this year. Watson states that he believes that he and Gavin feel the same way about the world and where we are going but that Gavin is way better at making it sound good!
