His brother Robert Crotts joined as the concept/lyric writer, and the project quickly grew into a full band. Their sound centers on slow, crushing low-tuned riffs, heavy bass, deep drum grooves, and aggressive, strained vocals, often drawing comparisons to acts like Slomatics, High on Fire, Neurosis, Crowbar, and Monolord. Over time they’ve expanded into more atmospheric, melodic, and dynamic post-metal territory.
