Hailing from Blackpool, UK, Where Deprivation Lies is a progressive technical death metal outfit that fuses surgical, mechanical precision with sprawling, intricate melody. Blending hyper-fast blast beats, complex sweep-picking, and oppressive gutturals, the band first made waves in the underground tech-death circuit with their 2018 debut EP, Psalms to the Synthetic Divine.
Following years of sharpening their musicianship and chaotic yet calculated songwriting, the group expanded their sound into even more ambitious territories on their debut full-length album, The Seven Agonies (2026).
