Biography
White Rune is a Finnish melodic black metal duo formed in 2021 by Ruttokieli (vocals, guitars, bass, keyboards) and Soldau (drums), both also known for their work in Sielunvihollinen. Drawing inspiration from the grand traditions of Finnish black metal, White Rune combines icy melodies, triumphant keyboard arrangements, and relentless aggression with themes of death, Satanism, war, vampirism, and pagan mysticism. Since its formation, the band has maintained a prolific output, releasing multiple demos and full-length albums through Hammer of Hate Records. Their music evokes the spirit of classic Scandinavian black metal while embracing a distinctly melodic and atmospheric character.
