Amsdorf assumed that he was close to Thomas Müntzer , which was against the background of the Peasants' War that had just endedwas dangerous for Cyclops. Cyclop defended himself with his own pamphlets, but Amsdorf initially deprived him of his economic basis (his medical practice) and at the beginning of 1526 also pushed through his expulsion from Magdeburg.
