Worsie van Wyk, despite what the name sounds like, is an Afrikaans metal singer, with an in-your-face sound that would make Dave Mustaine of Megadeth recite a lesson. And yet, between the screaming voice and distorted guitar, are lyrics that are wholesome enough to even be played on RSG.
Kraal van Sweet is the first single from his upcoming short album, Oros en Horrogs. Another EP followed in 2023, Rouwors.
"It's a song about a mosh pit, which usually takes place when I'm on stage. It is also a testament to my overall sound and vibe", says Worsie.
He describes the track as "energetic, loud and in your face", and it is indeed explosive, from start to finish. Worsie wrote, arranged, played and recorded the track himself. After that it was sent for studio finalization in Johannesburg.
