Biography
bigfatbig are a Sunderland pop-punk trio formed by Robyn Walker, Katie Ryall and Chaz Hall. Walker provides vocals, Ryall plays guitar and Hall plays bass. The group emerged onto the North East music scene in late 2019, having begun writing together the previous year. Their early music drew on the trio's shared enthusiasm for guitar-led pop and punk.
Their sound combines melodic pop-punk and slacker-pop with thick guitars, energetic vocals and elements of 1990s and early-2000s guitar music. Their influences include The Front Bottoms, Kate Nash, The Subways, Avril Lavigne, Alanis Morissette and Paramore, while Walker has also cited Miley Cyrus, Hayley Williams and P!nk as influences on her approach to performing.
