On April 6, 2005, they made their major debut with the single "Monica."
On April 26, 2006, they released the album "GOATBED." They changed their name and began activities anew as the reborn "GOATBED."
On May 2, 2008, they went on hiatus after their live performance "GOODLUCK DELETE" at Shinjuku LOFT.

Before their hiatus, their musical style was based on 1980s new wave pop rock.
Since 2011, their musical style has shifted to minimalist techno.
In 2011, Shuuji Ishii's younger brother, Yuji, joined the band as a support member. They resumed live performances. He later became a full member, forming a brother-sister duo.
Prior to joining, he was responsible for the album "V/A" and the artwork design for XA-VAT, the band Shuuji was active in.
In 2012, they produced the theme song and sound for the boys' love adult game "DRAMAtical Murder," released by Nitro+CHiRAL.
In 2012, with the announcement of the production of a TV anime and PlayStation Vita version of "DRAMAtical Murder," they provided the opening and ending themes for the anime, and continued to provide the background music and theme song for the PlayStation Vita version.
GOATBED was signed to BabeStar (2005-2009; major) and SPARKLE, CiTY and GEORIDE (2011-present). They are currently indies.
