Biography
Formed in 2024 in Trondheim, Norway, Holissstik is an avant-garde, dark electronic collaborative project spearheaded by Tor-Helge Skei, a foundational figure in Norwegian underground music best known for his work with legendary black metal and experimental acts MANES and LETHE. Deriving its name from the Greek root Hólos ("whole"), Holissstik operates under the guiding philosophy that collaboration is the soul of the project, creating an artistic whole that transcends the sum of its individual parts. Stepping beyond the boundaries of traditional metal while retaining a deeply sinister, atmospheric edge, Skei unites a versatile collective of musicians, vocalists, and synth soundscapers to craft an unpredictable, immersive sound world that balances darkness with hypnotic accessibility.
The group's sonic identity blends haunting darkwave textures, industrial electronica, ambient minimalism, and heavy avant-garde soundscapes. Signed to Season of Mist, Holissstik debuted in August 2026 with their full-length album Chapter I: This Endless Solitude, marking the first installment of an ambitious planned trilogy. Driven by meticulous sound design and rich, atmospheric compositions, Holissstik occupies a distinct realm in modern experimental music—equally dark, brooding, and transcendent.
