Biography

RIOTS are a form of civil disorder characterised by disorganised groups lashing out in a sudden and intense rash of violence and noise. While a RIOT may be premeditated and intentionally incited, a true RIOT is quickly joined by people without foreknowledge of the RIOT. While individuals may attempt to lead or control a RIOT, RIOTS are particularly chaotic and exhibit mob mentality. Spread the word, a RIOT is coming.

Bristol rock fiends RIOT:NOISE release their ‘Fight The People’ EP on Nov 16 2009 via Smackjaw Records.

The EP features lead off single, Never Wrong’, which is accompanied by a riotous video starring former Playboy model and glamour sensation (not to mention the face of Tv X) Sammie Pennington. (www.sammiepennington.net/ if you’re interested!)

“Working with Sammie was great” says frontman Marty, “She is a trained actress and extremely professional. Plus we had the choice of filling our video with men in tshirts moshing or a hot glamour model and a room full of scantily clad women. It didn't take us long to decide! It was like a fuckin’ red letter day. We've partied with Sammie and her glamour friends since the shoot and they sure know how to party hard.”

‘Never Wrong’ is a blustering and buff rock stomp. Driven along by a grinding rhythm and scalding chorus it’s all about the way two people with strong personalities always want to be right about everything. (As Marty says – ‘Autobiographical? Maybe!!’)

The band will support the release of the ‘Fight The People’ EP with a string of dates (including a major support with GUN)!:

Since their inception in 2007, Riot:Noise have worked tirelessly. Touring with the likes of Duff McKagan’s Loaded, Electric Eel Shock, Motorhead, Electric Six and Young Heart Attack, they have also rocked out at Bulldog Bash and played the Birmingahm NEC as part of Music Live. (Infact at this latter event the band performed an acoustic set for Kerrang Radio which resulted in the biggest signing session of the event other than for Dave Mustaine)!

Indeed in 2008 the quintet even headed out to the US for an extensive tour which took in California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. (And as an added bonus they got to play a gig on Sunset Strip supporting Hookers & Blow who feature Dizzy Reed, Gilby Clarke, and current GNR guitarist Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal in their ranks – it doesn’t get much more ROCK than that!).

Already drawing praise from many of the most influential voices in rock, Riot:Noise look all set to make their presence felt.
