serendipity row
Biography
Serendipity Row, aka Ollie Mon, is a singer/songwriter from Baltimore, Maryland who writes bittersweetly honest and confessional songs about his personal experiences. Ollie first started writing music as a freshman in high school. His first song, written at age 14, was called Jaded and was first released on SoundCloud. This song would eventually make its way onto Ollie's first official release. At age 15, Ollie released his first self-titled EP, “Serendipity Row”, which was self recorded and produced on his school iPad on GarageBand. This EP took influences from indie rock/pop, and was a catalogue of some of Ollie's high school experiences with friendships and heartbreak. His first full length album, “False Perceptions,” was released on November 13, 2021. It was written during Ollie's junior and senior years of high school, and recorded during his senior year of high school and as a freshman in college. This album takes inspiration from artists of the 1960's such as Simon and Garfunkel and Joni Mitchell, and indie pioneers of the 1990's such as Elliott Smith and Neutral Milk Hotel. According to the Serendipity Row Bandcamp, "False Perceptions tells a story of codependency, idealization, the longing to be free while in a repressive environment, ghosts from the past that still linger, and the loss of relationships of all forms.
