Biography

Summer.So.Far started in the summer of 2001 and ended on 2005. when after practicing with many different people, guitarist/songwriter Erik Miller met drummer Dan Jones over a indie/hardcore classified post, looking for band members to start a melodic, emotional metalcore band in the vein of Codeseven, In Flames, Overcast and Red Roses For A Blue Lady. Things moved swiftly after that, as they picked up Dustin Lombardi (bass), Pat Kennedy (vocals), Elliot Gagnon (vocals) and Steve Pianka (guitar) soon after a few practices they recorded a demo, and started playing shows. As the demo got into local circulation, they gained a pretty good local fanbase, and started getting more shows. As a band, they said: "we set out to express ourselves on all level's of our being through music. We create dark, aggressive, and melodic metal influenced hardcore to inspire us, and to help us live through the trials of day to day life. We believe our music, having no poltical, or religious agenda, can speak to many people, from different beliefs, and backgrounds, through the universal language of the heart. Hopefully others will find solace, comfort, and passion through listening to our music, as we do from creating it"
