Biography
Formed in the Netherlands, NACHTHEEM is an anonymous atmospheric black metal project that fuses early Norwegian and Dutch black metal traditions with mesmerising, hypnotic foliage-and-nature-inspired atmosphere. Drawing stylistic parallels to pioneers like Ulver, Borknagar, and early Vemod, the project emerged from the underground with their acclaimed 2024 demo Nacht, Zij Met Ons... and a series of raw split releases.
Partnering with the cult underground label Terratur Possessions, the mysterious entity evolved their sound from cold, ambient-laden roots into a warmer, more song-oriented framework on their debut full-length, Waan Van De Leegte (2026)—interweaving mid-tempo, cyclical guitar melodies and blast beats with hymnal clean vocals, acoustic interludes, and a profound sense of nocturnal melancholia.
