Biography
Profeci is a Polish black metal band (often described with post-black, atmospheric, progressive, or avant-garde leanings) formed in autumn 2018 in Poznań, Greater Poland.
They are signed to Godz ov War Productions and explore themes of philosophy, misanthropy, and nature through lyrics sung in Polish. Their sound blends raw black metal aggression with melodic, melancholic, sludge/doom, post-rock, and atmospheric elements—creating emotionally intense, thoughtful, and dynamic compositions rather than purely traditional black metal. Reviewers often link them to the refined modern Polish underground scene (drawing comparisons to bands like Furia, Odraza, or aspects of Medico Peste), praising their professional production (frequently involving Haldor Grunberg/Satanic Audio), strong songwriting, and evocative atmospheres.
