Biography
Symbiotic Growth is a Canadian progressive black/death metal band from Sudbury, Ontario, formed in 2015. They craft intricate, atmospheric, and technically demanding music that blends progressive structures, melodic black metal, death metal aggression, and post-metal expansiveness.
The band combines chaotic yet calculated songwriting with soaring melodies, dissonant riffs, atmospheric passages, and dynamic shifts. Their sound has been compared to Ne Obliviscaris, Opeth, Insomnium, and other progressive/extreme metal acts that balance technicality with emotional depth. Themes often explore introspection, nature, existential concepts, and cosmic/atmospheric imagery. They are currently on Bölverk Collective.
